"Hawk Chemical Contributes to Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund"

Mary Santa Maria , CEO of Hawk Chemical Company, on September 11, 2005 presented a company check to Ronnie Quinto of Spring Hill, Florida. Ronnie represents the Timber Pines Katrina Relief fund benefiting the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army and the United Way of Tampa Bay.

Mary Santa Maria, CEO of Hawk Chemical Company, arrives early and is pleasantly surprised to learn the event is being held at the Hawks Stadium in Haddon Township, New Jersey. This year is the 20th anniversary from Dr Gordon Platt's first 83 mile run in Tacoma, Washington that raised $27,000. The event today is celebrated in 45 events around the world and has raised over $1 Billion dollars for Cancer research, treatment and works daily on the cure.

Mary can't believe the coincidence in the stadium and team's name.	Mary, her son Joe, Jr and grandson Michael "pitch in" to get the tents up for the hundreds of volunteers who walk all night.	Jessie Holland, one of the youngest survivors told her story in the "keynote address".
Mayor Bill Park addresses the survivors, caregivers, doctors and volunteers.	New Jersey state senator John Adler is sponsoring a bill to ban the effects of secondary smoke in public places.	Mary is presented with her Survivor's sash.
As a 15 year survivor she was selected to carry the banner opening the "Walk for Life".	She and her "Fellow Survivors" open the walk.	Mary after a number of laps that afternoon.
	Attendees Ryan Sports and Roger Green flank Phlex, the Philadelphia Phantoms hockey team mascot. Phlex made a surprise visit to the event, delighting children and grownups alike.

The event was covered by CBS Philadelphia Channel 3 and the Courier Post Staff writer Erik Schwartz. Initial estimates appear to be over $30,000 was raised benefiting the Philadelphia affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
